The
Graphics Groove Guidelines
For
PSP users
Co-Owners:
Trish: TrishsDreams@prodigy.net
Barbara: barbiegirl44uk@yahoo.co.uk
Requirements:
Love of PSP.
Participation:
The Graphics Groove is all about friendship, fun and learning as
much as possible with PSP. Although
we would love everyone to be able to participate in all our activities
we know this is impossible. We,
here at TGG, realize that each and every one of us has families and a
busy life away from the computer.
Therefore if you can’t we all understand, we’ve all been
there. If you will be away
for an extended period of time there is no need to unsub from the group;
just go NO MAIL until you can rejoin us again. A short email to the
group letting us know that you will be away is always appreciated (only
so we don’t worry about you).
Graphics:
Rated
G ... please. J
Please use
good judgment on the graphics (no nudity, etc.).
If it’s ok for your grandchildren to see it, it’s probably ok
for us.
HOW
TO NAME YOUR FILES:
Have
the original name of the graphic your name_date.file type
Example:
BeNotAfraid_Trish_081102.jpg
Please
do this with all sends (including tubes and masks).
FILE
SIZES:
Tubes,
fonts, and mask should be no larger then 500kbs
WETs
and tube results no larger than 175kbs
(no larger than 400 on the longest
or tallest side). This is courtesy to those who have to pay for dial-up
or who have slow connections like me (26400kbs).
DO
NOT SEND:
Midi
or wav files through the group, this is also a courtesy for those who
read mail at work. No non-graphic attachments such as filters or
programs unless permission is granted by the owners.
The
Graphics Groove has permission from several artists to use their work
for our wets and sets. We
have approval as a group, not on an individual basis.
Please keep this in mind when creating.
If an artist’s work is submitted as a wet please assume that
this is the only thing you are allowed to use it as.
All sets must have the artists name and
link posted on the set. No
exceptions. If
an artist’s graphic is sent as a wet (it will be noted as such) you
must place the artists name on the graphic somewhere. This prevents
theft of the graphic once they are posted to our site.
All
lessons, wets, usage of tubes submitted and masks submitted will be
posted on the results pages if they meet the naming and sizing
guidelines (listed above). By submitting your results it is assumed that
you give us permission to post your results at our site.
Creativity and imagination is encouraged.
Any version of PSP may be used and any of your extra filters may
be used.
In
order to keep the email traffic down comments on each other’s work,
thank you and personal emails, etc. should be done privately.
Note: At this time
the settings have been set so that if you hit replay to an individuals
group email it will go directly to that individual and not the entire
group. ALL questions to the
group are more than welcome. This
is how we learn. Please
post replies to the list so that everyone knows that they have been
helped and there might be someone else that is wondering the same thing.
NOT
ALLOWED
Flaming
of any member or the group. If
you have any problems or situations, please email me privately.
Please, please do not write any cruel messages that might
accidentally be posted to the list.
You can also email me and vent.
If you have something negative to say or are unhappy with any
aspect of the list or member, please write me privately.
NO
forwards or virus warnings!
This is for your
protection. So many times people with good intentions have sent virus
warnings telling them to delete something only to find out later that it
was a hoax. If you have knowledge of a virus please let me or Barbara
know privately so we can check it out and then we will warn you if it is
on the up and up. The forwards might be taken as a nuisance or could
offend someone. Do
NOT add
anyone to your mailing lists unless they personally request. Again this
is common courtesy…
Posting
of Illegal Sites for downloading software or crack sites.
If there is any doubt about what you are posting, please check
with Barbara or myself first.
EXE
files due to the crazy viruses.
Anyone
violating any of these rules will be warned and possible unsubbed from
the list.

Here
is a run down of our planned agenda:
Sunday STATionery's - This when you can share one
of your new stats with the list if you'd like.
Monday MASKsday - This is when you can share one
of your mask's with the list and then everyone who wants to can make
something from it and then share it with the list.
Tuesday TUBesday - This is when we can all share one
tube with the list just be sure and send as an attachment. When you
receive the tube, you can make anything you want with it and then share
it with the list. You don't have to do all the tubes that you receive
unless you just want to...
Wednesday WETsday - This is when I will send out 2 or 3
WETs. This is also voluntary and you can do all or just one...
Thursday TUTorials - This is the day when I will post the
new tutorials. When you have finished please post to the list by Wed.
night so that I can post it to the site.
Friday FONTday - This is when we can all share one
font with the list.
Saturday SETsday - This is when I send out a graphic or
two and you can either make a set from one or both and share it with the
list. It is fun to see how everyone makes his or her sets different from
everyone else.
All projects are voluntary and are due in by the next
scheduled day for that project; for example: Tuesday Tubes are due in by
the next Monday night. This gives me time to post your results to our
site... I was thinking of having one "Monthly" project and I
call it that because it will be a time consuming project that will
probably take all month to do
We
are looking forward to getting to know all of you and learning more
about PSP. Let’s have
some fun. Email me at any
time that I can be of assistance.

The new members logo and page backgrounds have been provided by our
